About Me

I am celebrating 15 years in practice as of 2024, and enjoy providing acupuncture and herbal medicine with a focus in Women's Health to my patients in New York City.

My experience includes having successfully treated such issues as PMS, PCOS, infertility, painful periods (dysmennorhea) and irregular menstrual cycles. I have particular expertise in using acupuncture and herbs to support patients as they undergo assisted reproductive therapies (ART) such as IVF and IUI.

Since 2017 I have been a member of MAMPS, a prestigious mentorship group focused on acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine during pregnancy and postpartum. Through this group I have had the honor of learning directly from internationally known experts such as Debra Betts, Sarah Budd and Claudia Citkovitz. I am currently a senior member of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association (OBAA).

Aside from private practice, my past experience includes providing acupuncture sessions for IVF patients onsite at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, for women with disabilities at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and terminally ill patients and their families at San Diego Hospice. My background in western sciences combined with study of Traditional Chinese Medicine differentiates me from most other acupuncturists, enabling me to understand and provide the best possible care for my patients.

Background, Education, and Qualifications

In 2009 I earned my Masters of Science from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, a four year program in which I completed over 3,400 hours of study of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, eastern nutrition and related therapeutic modalities, with a substantial portion of studies devoted to western medicine.

I have been licensed to practice acupuncture in New York State since 2009 and am nationally board certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM. Additionally I have passed the Clean Needle Technique Course administered by the CCAOM. I am an active member of the ASNY (Acupuncture Society of New York).

Philosophy

My mission is to provide acupuncture, herbal medicine, and women's health education including lifestyle and nutrition tips to patients who are invested in improving their health. Through my dedication and no-nonsense approach to healthcare, I want to help educate my patients while alleviating suffering so that more people are able to reach their fullest potential in health and in life. Outside of private practice, I am an avid runner and live in Manhattan with my partner and our son.
