Women’s Health & Fertility

I specialize in getting women healthy

Whether your goal is pain-free periods, decreased PMS and hormonal breakouts or managing recurrent vaginal infections, acupuncture and herbal medicine can help you to reach a greater state of balance and well-being. As an acupuncturist with a background in science, I take recent biomedical research into consideration and feel that an integrative approach benefits patients the most.

Women’s Health and Chinese Medicine

I have a passion for women's health and find that Chinese Medicine is excellent for helping patients with a variety of issues. I want to help you view your cycles not as a mystery or a nuisance, but instead as something you have control over and frankly don't mind that much! I've used acupuncture and herbs to help patients with regulating their menstrual cycles (especially after getting off the pill or associated with PCOS), PMS, hormonal migraines and painful periods just to name a few. Whether your eventual goal is pregnancy, pain-free periods, elimination of PMS, or just greater overall balance, I truly would love to use my knowledge and experience to help you achieve your healthcare goals. In my experience, after receiving acupuncture for about 3 menstrual cycles, unpleasant symptoms decrease and your hormonal health is enhanced.

  • Fibroids
  • Post-Birth Control Pill Related Issues
  • Pelvic Floor Pain
  • Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
  • Irregular or Painful Periods (Dysmennorhea)

Natural Family Planning and Acupuncture for Menstrual Cycle Regulation

I am experienced and knowledgeable in helping patients practice natural family planning through FAM (Fertility Awareness Method), a scientifically proven method of monitoring the menstrual cycle for purposes of increasing your chances of pregnancy or for contraception. FAM empowers women to take charge of their reproductive health through monitoring such signs and symptoms as basal body temperatures (BBT), cervical fluid, and cervical position. I am able to incorporate these signs and symptoms into Chinese Medical theory, determining which acupoints and herbs to use based on the knowledge gained from charting your cycle.
